Anyone can develop an allergy to insect stings, but people with other allergies or allergic diseases like asthma are more likely to have severe anaphylaxis if they become allergic to venom.

Wasps, hornets and bees are the most common source of allergic reactions worldwide, with a third of patients treated for anaphylaxis having symptoms triggered by stings, mostly bee stings. Less severe reactions include extensive swelling (angioedema), itching, nettle rash (urticaria), pain and redness.

Our special Venom Extractor is a lightweight medical-grade plastic vacuum mini-pump that painlessly draws poison from stings and bites giving immediate pain relief and reducing the risk of allergic reaction. It comes in a waterproof carrying case with four differently-sized suction cups to cover the skin area of an attack and full instructions for use in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. It is easy to operate with one hand so you can administer it without any help and it can be used over and over again.

The Venom Extractor works on all bites and stings including snakebites, bee stings, wasp stings, mosquito bites, spider bites, jellyfish and scorpion stings.

Tested on rattlesnake bites: Denver General Hospital's Anti-poison Center, Colorado

Tested on bee stings: Pasteur Institute Immuno-Allergy Laboratory, Paris 1984

Tested on bites of giant ants, scorpions, tarantulas, snakes: Pharmacists Without Borders, among the Amazonian Shuar-Ashuar people, Ecuador.

Tester's tip: If a honey bee stinger is left in the skin, don't try to pull it out - it has a venom sac attached and squeezing it will only pump more venom into the skin. Use the Venom Extractor as soon as possible and apply toothpaste to the site of the sting - the alkaline ingredients neutralise the acid in the bee's venom and help reduce pain.

What You Say
My 14year old son trod on a Weever fish on the beach in Portugal and immediately suffered agonising pain. I raced to the apartment and ran back to the beach with the Venom Extractor where a crowd had gathered round my boy who was almost unconscious. Within minutes of removing the sting he recovered and was left with a sore numbness in his foot and leg but nothing worse. I urge every family to add a Venom Extractor to their holiday first aid kit.
Mrs R.E., London

I have for many years been extremely allergic to mosquito and cat flea bites. Foreign holidays have been a nightmare and trips to cat-owning friends' houses likewise. Each bite develops into a red swelling which itches and hurts quite uncontrollably for at least a week. I have tried everything and often end up with the affected part swathed in ice packs, which afford an hour's relief at most - and then I am awake again.. Last week I was sufffering from two nasty flea bites from a neighbour's house. I applied the vacuum pump to both bites that afternoon and again that evening. The itching subsided almost immediately.I went to bed...and suddenly it was morning - a miracle!
