Inside the recyclable plastic egg “shell” are natural, biodegradable cleaning pellets. These mineral pellets weaken the adhesive forces between dirt and fabric and then ionise the oxygen molecules in the water to drive them deeply into your clothes, lifting away grime without fading colours or damaging the fibres. They also increase the pH level of the water, which has a natural softening effect, so there’s no need to add fabric conditioner either.

Each ECOegg comes with enough pellets to last for 720 washes and as each wash costs just 4.2p compared with the 29p for a wash with a traditional non-bio detergent we reckon you will save a whopping £184!

Just place an ECOegg into the drum of your washing machine and wash as normal. Beause you don’t need detergent or fabric conditioner there’s no irritating residue to rinse out, so you can cut out the rinse cycle.

Your clothes and sheets will be fresh, clean and natural though you can add a drop of your favourite essential oil to the softener compartment if you like them to have a fragrance.

When your Ecoegg wash ball is finished, don’t throw it away, Just get some replacement pellets and use it over and over again!

The refill pack includes three bags of mineral pellets, enough for a further 210 washes, which should last for a full year’s washing for the average family.
