Dairy & Egg Free Cake Recipes creator Katie Crookston was brought up in a family where almost every member of it was allergic to a common food ingredient - not only eggs and dairy but also soya, citrus fruits, grapes, apples and dates. Fortunately Katie's grandma was a professional baker and over the years she developed a whole range of recipes so that Katie and her brothers and sisters couls take cakes to school for lunch and enjoy them at weekends.

"Bought this book a while ago - found it really helpful as I have dietary requirements for both religious reasons and also allergies. The recipes are varied and interesting, and so very very tasty. I strongly recommend this if you need dairy free for Kashrut or if you have any form of lactose intolerance and the like. I am hoping that the author will bring out a follow up book soon".

Two of my daughters have severe allergies, one to Nuts & Eggs & my youngest to Nuts, Eggs and Milk. I was becoming increasingly frustrated after many failed attempts to make cakes for them, using an egg replacer powder. The cakes didn't turn out too badly until I had to start making them Dairy free as well. However, this book has been brilliant. The instructions are very clear and my cakes actually end up looking like the ones in the pictures!!! My older daughter (who doesn't have the allergies) said that my cake looked and tasted like one you get from a shop!!!! I am hoping that the author will bring out another book soon.

I have to say this is one of the few cooking books that I've looked at more than once. It's great to start off with. Really easy to understand, would recommend everyone looking for an allergy book this a great one to start with

This book is excellent. After many failed attempts to make egg & milk free cakes for my daughters who are severely allergic, this book has been a god send! My older daughter (who is not allergic) said that the cake actually looked and tasted like a shop one!!! The instructions are very easy to follow & the results have been brilliant (my cake actually looked like the one on the picture!)
